This is The House of The Day!!

I made this little House to be like a cake. I think it perhaps is a strawberry cake. After I made it, I thought it might also look like a princess Gnome or Fairy House!

Flock of Geese

Everyday I make it a habit to go to the park across from my house. I usually ponder what I am going to do during the rest of the day and lately have been praying for a friend who was diagnosed with leukemia. But the other day I was on the swing and noticed a flock of geese flying over. Although I have seen many flocks of geese, this one attracted me more than usual. I noticed they were flying in a perfect V (the same as all the other geese I have seen), but I started thinking about how they know how to fly in a V, but yet I worry about whether or not I will always know what to do. I thought of a verse in the Bible in the book of Matthew that says something about not worrying about tomorrow because tomorrow will worry about itself. I couldnt help but think of how I am always worring about my future instead of trusting God. How often do we think we might wake up one day and just not know what to do? Perhaps we should just trust God and let tomorrow worry about its self!

Maple The Squirrel

This is Maple The Squirrel. She is dedicated to my parents who read me millions of stories as a kid! She was inspired by my favorite book, Good night Sleepy Squirrel! It is a book about a little squirrel who keeps saying she is not sleepy but then falls asleep the minute she hits the pillow! I loved it!

HOPPY EASTER!!!!

This is Kyle's Easter Basket! He got lots of peanut butter things!
These were the only easter decorations we had up. Next year I hope to make some bunny ornaments to decorate an easter tree with.

I thought this little girl and duck were cute and had kindof an easter touch!

These are from my room. What could be more easter than a crucifix? Christ died as payment for our sins, we can do nothing to earn that...not even baptism gets us to heaven, just faith in christ and knowing he died on the cross. The little church on the top is one that my french friend Caroline gave me when I went to visit her in Paris.

This is my dear ol' pops calling my brother to tell him Happy Easter. He lives in Chicago.

Praise God! Today is the reason we have eternal life......and the easter bunny makes lots of children happy! Have fun hiding eggs and eating lots of candy!

The Great Debaters

Tonight I had the privledge of seeing the son of whom The movie The Great Debators was based upon. He gave a short speech about his father and told of the greatness of Speech and Debate. After the Speech we viewed the movie. It was a great movie, acurately showing the cruel treatment of African Americans in the 1930's. It also portrayed the excitment of debating during this time period. African American History is a hobby of mine and I find myself dedicating many hours and, in the case of last summer, months to the subject. It was a great movie and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys learning about African American history or history in general. I was wondering if any of my readers have seen the movie? You can view the trailer at http://www.thegreatdebatersmovie.com/ , enjoy!

I Gatti D'Italia! (The Cats of Italy)

This is Clara! She is part of my I Gatti D'Italia Series. I found my inspiration for these little Kittys while I was in Italy. I have a picture of myself petting a cat in front of the colosseum from Summer of 2001, when I was fifteen. Clara is my second cat in the I Gatti D'Italia series.

Clara is a little Ragazina (little girl) from Milano. She lives not far from Leonardo Da Vinci's, The Last Supper. She spends her days playing bocci with her brothers and eating fresh bruschetta. Her favorite color is green and her favorite season is Primavera (summer)!

You can purchase Clara on my website at http://www.thepinkkoala.etsy.com/ . Have fun looking!
